Amazing Paper Teddy Bear

Wow! Look what my friend Gina sent me! It's a gorgeous teddy bear made from paper! And he's sitting atop a little pillow of pink flowers holding more teddy bears and a bouquet of pink flowers and a pink suitcase with the Circle logo on it! Because of the Cricut Circle, I have actually met Gina in person at several Circle Meet Ups {even though we live far apart} as well as talking to her on the Cricut MB. And, yes, this is the same Gina that taught me to make the balloon topiary I did for the Circle Crop I hosted {and she even sent me some supplies that I would need!}! What an amazing paper crafter and kind and generous person!

Look at the detail on the face!

Inside the cute little suitcase are more bears and a sweet little note!

And, she filled the box with more teddy bears and pink scrappy embellishments!

If you haven't been to Gina's blog, it's worth your time to visit! http://www.ginaballoons.com/imagination-arts-blog.html
Thank you so much Gina!

A Graduation Card

The daughter of a good Cricut friend just graduated from High School and will be heading to Ole Miss in the fall. So I made her a card to celebrate her graduation and wish her well as she looks to the future!

This is the back of the card, which is weird to see it first {and that's the way I put it in the box} but it will make more sense when you see the front!

And, this is the front of the card:

It's suppose to be her, in her graduation gown, looking into the mirror and seeing herself in an Ole Miss t-shirt!

It's a side step card that I initially learned to make from splitcoaststampers and I used the new Paper Doll Teen Scene Cricut cart for the paper dolls and the mirror is from Forever Young. Her high school's colors were blue and white and the colors for Ole Miss are blue and red.

I hope she likes it!

Keys to My Heart

This is a little binder ring with keys of my family! I printed "Keys to my Heart" on my printer and then used my Cricut to cut the heart.  I used CCR to size the keys. The keys are from the Sophisticated cart and Sophie cart. I cut a solid key, then layered on the photo and then layered on the key that had the cutout so the photo showed through.

Hope everyone has a great Mother's Day!

Tea Cup Pin Cushion from TBBM2!

The Blog-iversary Celebration post is HERE

I've always loved the vintage tea cups that were made into pincushions but I was afraid one might be knocked from my sewing area and break. So, when TBBM2 was released, I knew right away I wanted to make the tea cup and turn it into a pin cushion. Finally, I did it!

And, it was so easy! The tea cup scores, cuts and assembles quickly. Before assembling, I used an antique gold pen to edge the cup, handle and saucer. I cut a paper doily from the Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art cart and glued it to the saucer. I then used a styrofoam egg and covered half of it with felt. Glued that into the tea cup. Added some "pearls" and a ribbon with a flower. Viola! Now if my pincushion should hit the floor, it might bend. . .but it won't break!
