Carousel for Baby

Here is a little tea light holder I made using scallop circles from CCR and the rocking horse from Paper Doll Dress Up. The top comes off and there is a battery operated tea light inside!

A nice little glow!

In Memory of Allie

A member on the Cricut MB posted a request for help creating a file to cut vinyl for her sister's car window as a remembrance for her daughter that was lost in a terrible car accident.

Of course, I had to help. I created the file and sent it to her and she sent me a picture of the car window.

Rest in Paradise Allie. May your mom and aunt find comfort in remembering the happiness you brought to them.

Water Bottle Flavor Packet Tag

I made this little water bottle flavor packet tag for the weekly challenge on the Cricut Circle Blog. This week's challenge was to use a "sun" image and the word "summer" in your project. I designed the tag, the scallop around the hole for the bottle, the patterned paper inside the pocket and the sunglasses in CCR using Craft Room Basics. The sun is from Doodlecharms, the word "Hot" is from Birthday Bash and the words "summer days" are from Billionaire.

Even though I prefer to let my Cricut do all the cutting, the tag can be made by cutting a strip of cardstock 2 1/4 inches wide and 7 3/4 inches long. Score each end at 2 inches. Cut a scallop {or other shape} and glue it onto one end of the strip. Use a 1 1/2 inch punch to punch a hole through the center of the scallop. Glue a rectangle of patterned paper to the center section. Fold up the bottom on the score line and glue only along the edges. Decorate the front to fit your occasion, insert a flavor packet and hang from a bottle of water!

Magnet Board

While in Pigeon Forge, my daughter came back from a shopping trip with this magnet board! How perfect is it for a Cricut lover? It's pink and green and white and already had the ribbon attached. All I did was use my Cricut and the Cricut Font to cut my name in vinyl. I applied the shadow for my name in white and my name in pink. Of course, it needed a few magnets. . .so I made some! Now I have a place to hang ideas or cards that I receive or even important notes.

Butterfly Boxes and Cards

A few weeks ago, a member on the Cricut message board told of  a meeting for bereaved parents that was going to be held in her area. She asked for donations of cards to sell at their Butterfly Boutique to help defray the costs involved. So I made these cute little butterfly boxes from the Tablescapes  cart and filled them with 5 little cards and envelopes. The butterfly on the cards is also from Tablescapes and the envelopes are from Wild Card. I'll be sending them off in the mail to her on Monday and hope they sell!
