Circle Crop~Day Two

On March 3, I hosted a second day of cropping fun for Cricut Circle members at Homewood Suites. Sharon and Cindy were able to join us as well as 21 other Circle members. We had so much fun chatting and cropping and shopping and going out for lunch.

Cricut Circle Crop at Archivers in Marietta Georgia!

What fun! On March 2, Shannon Lerner from Provo Craft along with Cindy Royal from their Design Team hosted a Cricut Cricut Crop at Archivers. Shannon gave us an update on the happenings with Provo Craft and conducted a little survey and held an open forum for questions. She also did a darling St. Patrick's Day centerpiece Make and Take using the new St. Patrick's digital images. Provo Craft pre-cut all the images for use to piece the Leprechaun, Pot of Gold, Rainbow and "Kiss Me" label. Unfortunately, lots of us didn't finish because the tornado sirens sounded and we all went to the interior hallway. . .for about 30 minutes! There was no damage to our area although some parts of Georgia did suffer. We ended the night around 11pm and most Circle members stayed nearby for our 2nd day of cropping.

A St. Patrick's Day Candy Purse

I made 30 of these little purses for the Cricut Circle St. Patrick's theme Crop. They are cut from the same .ccr file as the SWARM favor purse and the Valentine candy purse.

We have a group of talented crafters ready to share their projects celebrating love and Valentine's Day! Along the way, you may find some blog candy! So sit back and enjoy hopping through our blogs!

My project for today is the adorable Mailbox from ProvoCraft's new digital images titled 3D Mailboxes. It was designed to be large enough for regular sized Valentines, but I resized smaller it to be a treat holder.

The mailbox design also has a separate box inside it that slides out the bottom to retrieve those Valentines or treats! How clever!

But wait. . .there's more! You didn't think I would only have a project cut straight from a cart, did you? I also have a cute Treat Tote! I saw the one Andrea made and just loved it.

I didn't have any small bottles like Andrea used, so I used the plastic from the clamshells of my Cricut cartridges and made little acetate boxes. I then sized the holder to fit my three little containers.

The Treat Holder was designed in CricutCraftRoom using CraftRoom Basics for the holder and label, Sweethearts for the Cupid and MS Seasonal Cake Art for the band around the containers.

I used the little hearts that were cut out making the band as petals for little flowers on the top of each container. I hope you enjoyed looking at my two projects!

Candy Purse Tutorial

To make this candy purse, you will need the purse shape (red marquee shape, I designed this in CCR using CraftRoom Basics so the holes for the ribbon are cut with the shape), the layer (pink flower print), a little embellishment (the heart), 6 inches of 1/4 inch wide ribbon, a lollipop bag and candy.

Glue the layer onto the purse shape and score just along the right side of the rectangles.

Add a small line of double stick tape below the rectangles.

Thread the ribbon through one slot and press it into the tape. Then repeat for the other side.

Put your candy in the lollipop bag and fold the sides in so it's smaller at the top and fold the top down and staple closed.

Place the candy bag on the purse shape and fold the flap over and staple through all layers.

Add your embellishment to cover the staple on the front and you're done!

Candy Purses

It's always so much fun to get together with Cricut friends and spend the day scrapping and chatting and laughing! Here are the cute little Candy Purses I made for the attendees at our SWARM.

I used the marquee shape from the Accent Essentials cart and added two little rectangles to where I wanted the ribbon to thread through using Cricut Craft Room. I also sized the layer for the flap in CCR and quickly cut and assembled 20 little purses.

Desktop Organizer and Perpetual Calendar

The Circle Magazine is sponsoring a contest for projects using Cricut Craft Room! As much as I have loved Design Studio, I have found I love designing in CCR so much more. If you haven't given CCR a try, I hope you will. It's a free online design program from ProvoCraft and you can download it from cricut.com. Plus, there is also a free set of images for anyone to use and cut from in CCR titled Craft Room Basics. I designed all of this project using Craft Room Basics! That means, if you have a Cricut and a computer with internet access, you can re-create this project! {Because this is my entry into the Contest, I cannot share the file at this time.}

Anyone that knows me or has looked around on my blog, probably knew my project would involve boxes. The Desktop Organizer and Perpetual Calendar is actually made up of lots of boxes. The bottom box slides out and reveals two compartments for desk supplies.

The middle two cubes have the numbers needed to display every day of the month and those cubes sit on a little tray so they can easily slide out for date changes.

The month(s) are attached to the top box with velcro and the top box opens to reveal storage for the additional month tags as well as a little "pick me up" treat!

On the left side is a box for holding note paper.

And on the right is a two compartment box for holding pens and pencils.

Hey. . .It's me!!!

Hi everyone! So glad to be back to crafting! Our holidays were super busy {just like most of you} because we also had my daughter's college graduation ceremony and celebrations between Thanksgiving and Christmas! And even though I didn't get to craft as much as I wanted, it was all so much fun and very exciting! I hope your holidays were happy ones!

I think I'll finish off January with some projects I made before I started my blog and throw in a few projects from Christmas. But later today, I'll be posting a project I've been working on for the Circle Magazine Challenge. I very pleased with the way this project is coming together!

Sophie Circle Magazine Contest

Each month, the Circle Magazine hosts a contest for Circle Members. This month, the contest is based on the images from the Sophie cart. The rules were to use the exclusive Sophie cart to create something fabulous for the upcoming holiday. The project needed to use at least 3 images from the Sophie cart.

I decided to use the background shapes as the base for the numbers on my advent calendar. I first use CCR to create a little gusset pocket with the Craft Room Basics cart and the George cart. I cut 24 out of a metallic holly paper, scored, folded and glued them to the base (which was also the metallic holly paper). I then chose 4 different background images from Sophie and I cut 3 of each image in red and 3 of each in green. I glued those to the pockets. I used Nursery Rhymes for the numbers and glued those to the pockets. I added a couple of red bows and viola! My advent calendar was ready to fill with little goodies for each day.

This is how it looks partially filled. My nephew volunteered to eat the candy for the first 9 days!

Santa's Magic Key

Welcome to the Sophie Cartridge Blog Hop hosted by Michele. We wanted to share some of the really nice images from the Sophie cart. If you just happened upon my blog and want to start at the beginning of the hop, go to Michele's blog. If you're already hopping along, you should have arrived here from Liz's Bog.

My project for the hop is. . . a Santa's Magic Key hanging. In case you don't know, there is a legend that Santa's magic can make an ordinary key open your door. This is great for children who live in homes without a chimney. But, it also works for children who do have a chimney but want to make it easier for Santa to get into their house with all those presents!

I first searched for Santa Magic Key poems and when I couldn't find one I liked, I took the parts I did like and added some to create my own version. I printed it on ivory cardstock and cut it out using the frame background and CCR. I printed the image off center so I could hang the key and not block the words. Here's the poem I used. You can use it too, or make your own.

Santa's

Magic Key

It's the night before Christmas and we're excited as can be!

We're leaving this key

so you won't have to squeeze down the chimney.

Your magic makes the key fit right

and you can come in the door tonight.

Thank you Santa, for the presents you will leave by the tree,

And don't forget. . . the milk and cookies are on me!

I then cut the frame and glued it to the wording. I cut the key 5 times, 3 in gold cardstock and 2 in gold glitter cardstock (flipping the key image to get a front and back). I glued all those layers together and tied a ribbon. To hang the key, I punched a hole for a brad and when closing the brad, I left a little room between the brad head and the paper. That gave me enough space to slip the ribbon on and off the brad.

I then hid the interior lines of the frame in CCR and cut another frame in red. This one, I glued to the back.

Acetate Santa Tag

This little tag was actually a happy accident! I was stamping the Santa image on recycled plastic from the clamshell of a Cricut cartridge and then it wasn't flexible enough for the project I had in mind. So I created a frame in CricutCraftRoom and viola. . .it became a tag! You can't tell in the photo, but the part with the Santa image is actually clear {there is white paper behind it in the photo} and when the tag moves, you can see the image of Santa watching you! So you better be good, for goodness sake! :)

Christmas is Coming!

Since the wreath that hangs over our mantel at Christmas time has seen better days, I decided to replace it with a frame. I used glittered paper and what was suppose to be a window decal of Santa inside the frame and vinyl lettering outside the frame. I can't wait to hang it with the stockings and garland on the fireplace!

{And, I see I need to straighten the word Magic before it goes up! Note to self~buy some CLEAR transfer tape!}

Here's a "corrected" project photo. It looks so much better with the word Magic straight! :)

Paper Bag Turkey

A few years back, Family Fun had a cute Thanksgiving project using a brown paper grocery bag as the body of a turkey and it was filled with popcorn for munching. Well, that took a lot of popcorn to fill that grocery bag and no one really wanted popcorn before our Thanksgiving meal. So last year when I found some little silver trays at the Dollar Tree, I decided to make a smaller version and fill it with candy, for after dinner.

The body is a lunch bag and the legs are two small "parts" bags from Ace hardware (I just turned them inside out to hide the markings). The paper frill for the legs was cut using George and Basic Shapes, the leafy greens for the platter is a leaf from Pooh and Friends and the carrot curls are paper strips rolled with a quilling tool.

Tepee Card and Treat Box~All in One!

Here is a little tepee that I designed in Cricut Craft Room, using George and Basic Shapes, based on a pizza box design. The little Indian girl is made using Paper Doll Dress Up.

I wanted it to open so I could add a sentiment in it. Once it was completed, I realized I could also add a few treats!

These will decorate the table on Thanksgiving but I'm also seeing that triangle "pizza" box as a tree. . .maybe a Christmas tree! :)

Mickey Treat Box

Hello and Welcome to the Me and Mickey's Birthday Blog Hop! You should have come to my blog from Rexann, the birthday girl. If you didn't and want to start at the beginning of the hop, head to Michele's Blog. Today we are celebrating Rexann's birthday (which is today) and Mickey Mouse's birthday (which was yesterday)!

So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY REXANN AND MICKEY!!!

My project to help celebrate is a little Mickey Treat Box! I made this using the Mickey and Friends cart. It's cute enough as it is,

but it's even cuter when you open it and see the candy inside!

I cut 3/4 inch circles and the Mickey glove and glued them to Hershey's Kisses! Yummy! And, once the candy is gone, you can fill the box with paper clips or Disney memorabilia or whatever you want! And, just so Mickey doesn't get lonely,

there's a Minnie Mouse box too! And, of course, her box is also filled with candy,

some "dressed up" Hershey's Nuggets!

Christmas Tree Tea Light

I am so excited to be hosting a Winter/Christmas themed Blog Hop today! Nineteen other creative crafters have a winter or Christmas themed project {some blogs have both} created for you! So sit back, relax and start hopping!

My first project for the hop is a Christmas Tree Tea Light Holder {you know I love those little battery operated tea lights}! Today's post will have the photos and there will be a tutorial and cut file added in a day or two. Sorry I didn't have time to get it ready with all my prep for the South Carolina Circle Meet Up.

I used CCR and the George cart to create a four-sided triangle box. Then I layered on each side, the swirly tree from the Christmas Solutions cart. Glued the tree to a scalloped square from Mini Monograms that I had added a circle cutout in the center. Glued that to the shirt box, that also has a circle cutout, from Tags, Bags, Boxes and more. And added a star from George.

I used the shirt box not only for the base, but also for access to a battery operated tea light!

Once the tea light is turned on, close the box and you have a beautiful, glowing decoration or gift!

The other project I have today is a cute little gingerbread man, ready for winter! The gingerbread man is from Paper Doll Dress Up, his hat is from Everyday Paper Dolls and his scarf is from Winter Woodland.

But, there's not just one. . .they are 50 of him! This is only half of the group.I made these for a tag swap. I do still need to add the ribbon hanger.

A Few More Halloween Projects

Here are a couple of Halloween projects I never posted.

A set of decorative blocks {made from the file I created for the FALL set} with Halloween images/words on each side. My family had a lot of fun rearranging these!

And a single and triple test tube candy holder! Even the teenagers were impressed with these!

Candy Holders

Here are two candy holders I made for Halloween. The candy corn holder was quick and easy with an image from the Pumpkin Carvings cart cut from vinyl and then applied to the glass jar. The eyeball candy holder is a candlestick glued to a Mason Jelly Jar. Chris made everyone at the Woodstock SWARM one {aptly named a Redneck Wine Glass} and I've been scouring thrift stores for candlesticks ever since. The jelly jars came from Walmart.

Ribbon Bat

Here is an invitation (party info is on the back) for a Halloween party with a cute little ribbon bat. To make the bat, you punch 2 holes close together and thread the ribbon through them, cross it in the back and back through the holes to the front. Then just add some googly eyes!

Quick and Easy for Halloween

I used Plantin Schoolbook and Pumpkin Carvings to make the treat bag.

And it holds quit a bit of candy.

The lighted eyeball is a project from a back issue of Family Fun. It's a ping pong ball with a hole in the bottom and placed over a batter operated tea light. Add vinyl cutouts for the eyeball.

My Cricut "Bughead" Organizer

What to do with all those Cricut markers and extra blades? Keep them in a Cricut Bughead Organizer! This one is made from 2 bowls, 2 small wood candle holders, a wood bead, some wire, 2 small wood beads and some customized googly eyes!

I made one for a Hostess Gift for my friend Stephanie when she hosted the most awesome Woodstock SWARM. I also made these little treat containers for all the Cricuteers who came over to my crop area on Saturday morning. They are those plastic condiment cups with bugheads cut from Cricut green vinyl and filled with M&Ms.

While looking through some old supplies for some wire for the bughead antenna , I came across these cans that I painted for a craft fair quite a few years ago. They are empty pineapple cans and I used acrylic craft paint. My father-in-law named them "Pump-Cans"!

Witch Shoe

After seeing a witch shoe that Doxie Mel had posted for a challenge on the Cricut Circle blog, I knew I needed to make something similar for my daughter and her college roommates. So, using the Princess Party cart and Design Studio, I added some shapes from George and make the Princess shoe a Witch shoe.

I used mint Oreos to fill them and needless to say, the my daughter loved them and can't wait to give them to her friends! Thanks Doxie Mel for the inspiration! :)

Coming out of Cybernation!

My poor, neglected blog is awakening! Although I haven't posted, I have been creating. So let's start by catching up!

First, I took a trip to Orlando to meet a friend from the Cricut message board! Narelle and her family came to Orlando (from Australia) and I was so fortunate to be able to meet them. Narelle and her daughter and I spent a day shopping and chatting. They don't have Michael's Arts and Craft stores in Australia nor do they have Walmarts! I took them to both! :) Later that day, my sister and Narelle's husband and son joined us and we had dinner at the Rainforest Cafe in Downtown Disney. It was so much fun! Here's a picture of Narelle and me.

I had made a Disney themed travel planner using a 2-pocket folder and sent it over to her. I hope she found it useful as they had plane tickets and 3 different hotel reservation and bus tours and such to keep up with.

It was very similar to one I made for myself a few years ago. I had designed it using Design Studio but lost the file when my computer crashed. Fortunately, it was easy enough to re-create.

And, of course, you can't go to Orlando with going to visit Mickey Mouse. My sister and I went to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party and I used my Cricut to cut little Mickey heads out of vinyl for our finger nails.

Halloween Bucket

It's that time of year when people are starting to think of Halloween. I've recently received a few questions about the Halloween Bucket I made a few years ago that is in the Project Gallery. The images on the sticks are from Paper Doll Dress Up. I cut two of each image and glued them together around the edges of the side and top. Then, I painted tiny dowels orange, cut them to size and slide the image on. The bucket is a plastic witches cauldron filled with candy. The title, Happy Halloween, is a font that was cut with a Wishblade.

Mom's Sewing Box

During her lifetime, my mom was an amazing seamstress. She made all sorts of clothes, mostly dresses, for my sisters and me. I remember her big wooden sewing box. It had so many little boxes and drawers. I decided to try to recreate it using paper. The design is basically four boxes that are attached with paper "hinges" and brads. I used Design Studio and the George and Basic Shapes cart to create the boxes. The beautiful pattern paper is by Cosmo Cricket and aptly named Remnant. I used Mini Monograms for the shapes to make the tag and used the Cuttlebug Language of Love embossing folder. My mom used her box to hold buttons and ribbons and lace and such that she would use to adorn her sewn creations. I'll use my little paper box to hold buttons and ribbons and flowers and such to embellish my little tags and cards. Thanks Mom! :)

Apple Basket and a Challenge!

Paper Cubes

My project for the Fall Blog hop is a set of decorative, paper cubes that spell F*A*L*L.

They are super easy to make and can be changed to fit any theme or decor. I used Design Studio and George and Basic Shapes cart to create the cube. (Then, I was looking for a cut on the Tags, Bags, Boxes and More cart and saw a square box there that would probably work too.) File available at the end of this post.

Once you cut the box, it will look like this:

Then I take scissors and clip the corners of the tabs that will go inside the box. I find it's easier to hand snip them than to make sure small triangles line up on those edges in Design Studio and then you have to peel those small pieces off the mat!

And, then your box looks like this:

The file has scorelines, so fold those to make it easier to place the background paper. Apply adhesive to the side tab and join it to the opposite side of the box.

Close your box and decorate. If you are going to fill the box, glue the bottom so it will stay closed. Otherwise, leave it unglued and you can store your box flat until next use.

Teeny Tiny Rose Tutorial

Since the team over at Fantabulous Cricut http://fantabulouscricut.blogspot.com/2011/08/thursdays-tutorial-birthday-projects.html choose to feature my tea light cake and teeny tiny roses, I thought I should do a tutorial!

You can use any scallop circle and size it according to your project. I used Elegant Edges and 1.25 inch circles for the roses I made for the tea light cake. If your image doesn't have a center circle cut out, use Design Studio, a Gypsy, CricutCraftRoom or a punch to add one.

Then snip between two of the scallops (anywhere is fine).

Take your quilling tool and insert the end to the left of where you cut the scallops.

Begin rolling the quilling tool toward you, keeping the paper tight around it.

When you reach the end of the strip, pull the rose off and let it "relax" a bit. Then glue the end to the roll.

Let the glue dry and use your fingernails to bend back some of the scallops.

And, there you have it. . .a cute teeny tiny rose for your project!

Tea Light Cake

Yes, today is my birthday! And I wanted to show you a cute little cake made with a tea light. The basic instructions are from SplitCoastStampers and I used Elegant Edges for the scallop circles and Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art for the scallop border. The roses were made from scallop circles from Elegant Edges and then rolled with a quilling tool. Now, for the Make a Wish part. . .

Diaper Tricycle!

I'm sure you've seen the Diaper Cakes that everyone is making for baby showers and gifts. And while I love the diaper cakes, I wanted something a little different for a special friend who is expecting a baby girl. So, here is the Diaper Tricycle I made for her!

To make the Trike, I used a package of 50 diapers, two receiving blankets, two bibs, a pair of baby socks, a bottle, a baby washcloth, two diaper pins and some ribbon. Other items used were a toilet paper tube, a paper towel tube, rubber bands and some glue dots.

Start by dividing the diapers. I used 15 for each of the back tires and 20 for the front. Take the toilet paper tube and layer the diapers around it. Secure them with a rubber band.

Take the paper towel tube and repeat the process on one end. Wrap the washcloth around the tube and secure with a couple of rubber bands. Cover the rubber band holding the diapers together with ribbon and glue dots.

Wrap the other end with the remaining diapers. And cover the rubber band with ribbon.

Take one of the receiving blankets and roll lengthwise.

Thread the blanket through the paper towel tube and then through the toilet paper tube. Secure with the diaper pins.

Work the blanket back through the paper towel tube so the pins are hidden inside the tube. Roll the other receiving blanket lengthwise and thread it through the toilet paper tube. Place the bottle on top of the front diaper tire and bring the ends of the blanket straight up. Hold the blanket together by using a rubber band right above the bottle.

Add a bib to form the seat and the other bib to form the front fender. Bend the blanket ends down and back a little to resemble handlebars. Add a baby socks to each end of the blanket for the handlebar grips.

Add a bow around the rubber band on the handlebars and viola! You have a Diaper Tricycle! So, what do you think?

Baby Girl Dress Mini Album

I originally made this album over a year ago and it's still the project I get the most questions about! So I decided to give it it's own post instead of just a picture in the Project Gallery. I used shapes from Paper Doll Dress Up and Everyday Paper Dolls to make the dress shape I wanted. I cut several out of white cardstock and using Scotch Quick Dry Glue and flat lace, I covered the top of one dress. I then used ruffled lace to make the skirt portion of the dress. I glued another dress to the back and repeated the process for the back cover. The rest of the pages were covered with scrapbook papers. The pages were decorated with cuts from New Arrival, Wild Card, Mini Monograms and George.

Finally, blogger let's me post again!

Double Box

For my project, I created a double box! The box was created in Design Studio using the George and Basic Shapes cart. I cut two boxes using papers from DCWV Nana's Nursery stack. Once the boxes were made, I used coordinating paper from the same stack and made a cover and handle for the boxes. I printed the sentiment and cut it and the scallop circle using the Mini Monograms cart. It stays closed with a velcro closure under the scallop circle. A few ribbons and prima flowers and my box was ready to fill!

And, I filled it to the brim! There are 2 washcloths, a bib, a pair of socks and a onesie. . .all in pretty pinks and perfect for a baby girl gift!

But, using other papers, you could fill the boxes with baby boy items or school supplies or handmade cards or candy!

A Little Bag to take to the Pool or the Beach

I made this little bag, in Design Studio using the George and Basic Shapes and the Paisley carts, to hold treats for the pool party in our neighborhood. I used my cuttlebug for the embossing and cut the sunglasses from the Paisley cart. Throw in the towel, sunscreen and a good book and you're off for a day of fun in the sun by the pool or at the beach!

A Patriotic Card for the 4th of July

Here is a patriotic card to celebrate the 4th of July. It's similar to the rocker style card, but using the octagon shape. It is made flat, so it can be mailed and then will stand on it's own when open. The inside is blank and can be used for a personal note or an invitation to a party!

The octagon shape is from the George and Basic Shapes cart, the fireworks are from the Stand and Salute cart and the party girl is from the Rock Princess cart.

Reference Guide for Everyday Paper Dolls Cart

Back in 2009, I cut every image on the Everyday Paper Doll cart, sorted into similar groups and labeled them in grids on 8.5 x 11inch paper. The bodies/heads, hair, clothes, shoes and most of the items that go on the body were cut at 3 inches for size reference. Some of the other images were cut larger or smaller to fit into the grids. The PDF document is 36 pages long! Here is a sample of some pages to give you an idea of what it looks like:

A Hat for the Louisville Kentucky Circle Meet Up

When I heard there was going to be a hat contest for the Kentucky Meet Up, I immediately thought "derby hat"! So I took a plain white hat (from Party City) and wrapped the band with pink netting, leaving enough for a big bow and tails. Added lots of pink flowers that I cut with my Cricut using a DS file created by Capadia Designs. Added some thin green ribbons and more pink netting. A few Circle logos cut from glitter paper and viola!

Sympathy Card for a friend

I used the scallop card from Wild Card for the base of this easel card. In Design Studio, I created the matching scallop layer in two sizes. I used George for the circles and several Cuttlebug embossing folders. The inside sentiment is printed and then cut using Lacy Labels. Add a bow and a little bling and viola!

Grandmother's Garden

Here is the gift I made for my MIL for Mother's Day using the paper rosettes. The three children shown are mine and the blank ones are for her other grandchildren. I let their mothers pick out the photos and didn't take a picture of the totally finished project. The fence box was created in Design Studio using the Wrap It Up cart. The Grandmother's Garden sign is from Pooh and Friends.

A friend sent me this link to this video on You Tube where Shannon showed a couple of the projects I had made for the Atlanta Circle Meet Up! I had seen the video on the Circle blog but didn't know it was out in cyberspace.
I made the Telephone Box to hold the calling cards that Circle members would create to swap with other Circle members and to use as their entry for the door prizes. The telephone parts were cut from the From My Kitchen cart.
The paper shoe(s) I made as a thank you gift for Shannon, Cindy (Circle DT), Deanna (Circle DT) and Teresa Collins (who was our special guest). They were filled with crafty items. They were cut from a file I created in Design Studio.

Paper Shoes for Graduation

I used my paper shoe Design Studio file to make these paper shoes to hold giftcards and other goodies for some new Georgia Tech graduates. The school colors are white and gold and the mascot is the yellow jacket. The tag (which I didn't photograph) says Good Luck As You Step Out Into The World!

This is a little book I made using PDDU, EDPD and Indie Art and based on a poem I had saved from years ago.

Hats Off to Mother
My mother’s job is sometimes hard, and I have heard her say,
"The hours are long, and if I could, I’d like to change the pay."
Her profession has variety, and I will tell you now
About the many hats she wears—and why and when and how.

My mother’s a nurse who fixes and patches
All of my hurts and my sores and my scratches.

My mother’s a chef who fixes each dinner
Fit for a king—a blue-ribbon winner!

My mother’s a chauffeur who drives pretty slow
But gets me to places where I need to go.

Bunny from Recycled Water Bottle

The challenge on the Cricut Circle Blog was to reuse, recycle or repurpose 3 items in your project along with 2 Cricut image cuts. This little bunny was created using an empty 8 oz water bottle, ribbon and flower from a tag on a gift basket, the button for the flower center was from an old shirt and the pompom tail was from some old trim from cafe curtains. The hat was made from 3 circles and a rectangle from George and Basic Shapes, the nose is a heart from Sweethearts and the bunny ears are from Paper Doll Dress Up.

This type of basket has been around for a while (you take a square of paper and score it in thirds on each side). I designed this one in Cricut Design Studio using George and Basic Shapes and Martha Stewart Elegant Cake Art cartridges. The scallop circle is from Mini Monograms cart and the bunny is from the Easter 2010 cart.
