Tops for Lanterns from cricut.com

Lots of people have been impressed (and rightly so) with the paper lanterns featured on cricut.com. While there are directions for making the base of the lanterns, there are no directions for making the tops. I think that is probably because the designers made each top to fit a specific lantern. However, there were lots of requests on the Cricut message board, so I created a basic file for the square and the circle tops. You can download the file from box.com and resize it to fit your lantern. The file uses George and Basic Shapes and CCR.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Here's a simple little goodie for St. Patrick's Day. . .a lucky penny! The shamrock is from Paper Doll Dress Up. I first used the Cricut markers to draw the image and then cut it out. A glue dot holds the penny in place.

Here are some tiny Leprechauns that I made into pins! I cut the pieces from Paper Doll Dress Up at 2 inches, glued them together and added a pin back. A cute way to wear the green!

Purse Treat/Gift Card holder

Hi again hoppers and other visitors! It day two of the SweetSassyDiva Birthday Blog Hop and the line up is the same as for day one. So you should have come to my blog from Jen's  http://scrapaholicjen.blogspot.com/  but if you didn't or you want to start at the beginning, head to Bobbi Jo's blog   http://sweetsassydiva.com/.

My project for to day is another purse! But this one is a treat/gift card holder. I made the purse using Tie The Knot and Kate's ABCs carts. The closure for the purse is from Fabulous Finds and has a velcro dot under it. And the pink flower is from Flower Shoppe.

And inside the purse are some chocolate kisses and a gift card to Joann's! How fun!

I hope you enjoyed today's project! Now head over to Anita's blog http://www.anitaandbugs.blogspot.com/. Thanks for visiting my blog and hopping along with us!  :)

My project for the hop is something everyone receiving presents, birthday or otherwise, needs! It's a cute little purse Thank You card holder! It would make a great gift or make one and keep it for yourself!

I designed the folder in Cricut Craft Room using Craft Room Basics and George and Basic Shapes carts. The embossing is done with the Jamara Cuttlebug embossing folder. Inside the purse are pockets to hold the Thank You cards and envelopes. The handle is black beads strung on a thin wire and then attached to the purse folder. It is held closed with a velcro dot.

And, of course there are some matching Thank You cards! The sentiment was printed on my computer and then cut with my Cricut. The scallop circle is from Craft Room Basics. Both the scallop circle and the black strip are embossed with the Jamara Cuttlebug folder for a coordinated look.

Thank you for checking out my project. I hope that you will become a follower of http://sweetsassydiva.com/ and my blog and leave us a comment.

Circle Crop~Day Two

On March 3, I hosted a second day of cropping fun for Cricut Circle members at Homewood Suites. Sharon and Cindy were able to join us as well as 21 other Circle members. We had so much fun chatting and cropping and shopping and going out for lunch.

Here is what our Crop Room looked like:

The balloon topiary that fellow Circle member, Gina, taught me to make:

The name tags:

The cute pen and note pad favors:

The super secret door prizes:

The special Circle chocolate pretzel treats:

The adorable chocolate Bug Head lollipops:
And some of his friends! My daughter made 30 chocolate lollipops for us!

We had so much fun, I can hardly wait for the next time!

Cricut Circle Crop at Archivers in Marietta Georgia!

What fun! On March 2, Shannon Lerner from Provo Craft along with Cindy Royal from their Design Team hosted a Cricut Cricut Crop at Archivers. Shannon gave us an update on the happenings with Provo Craft and conducted a little survey and held an open forum for questions. She also did a darling St. Patrick's Day centerpiece Make and Take using the new St. Patrick's digital images. Provo Craft pre-cut all the images for use to piece the Leprechaun, Pot of Gold, Rainbow and "Kiss Me" label. Unfortunately, lots of us didn't finish because the tornado sirens sounded and we all went to the interior hallway. . .for about 30 minutes! There was no damage to our area although some parts of Georgia did suffer. We ended the night around 11pm and most Circle members stayed nearby for our 2nd day of cropping.

A St. Patrick's Day Candy Purse

To hold all those gold coins you'll get from the Leprechauns you catch!

I made 30 of these little purses for the Cricut Circle St. Patrick's theme Crop. They are cut from the same .ccr file as the SWARM favor purse and the Valentine candy purse.

And, yes, there's an Easter one too!
