National Scrap Book Day~Circleville Style!

Happy National Scrapbook Day!

Some of my crafty friends from the Cricut Circle decided to celebrate all weekend long with different challenges and projects throughout the day today and tomorrow! And, even if you're not a member of the Cricut Circle, you can join in the fun as we are posting on our blogs as well as on the Circle Message Boards!

So let's get to my challenge for the celebration. . .we're playing Tic Tac Toe! Remember that favorite game from your childhood? Well this challenge works the same. You want to use 3 elements in a row to complete your challenge project. Those who know me, know how much I love making boxes! So the center of the Tic Tac Toe board is to Make a Treat Box or Bag. If you use the center element, just choose 2 others to make 3 in a row. If you don't want to make a treat box or bag, no worries. Use the elements around the edges of the board to complete your project.

For my project, I choose to use the top left square, the center square and the bottom right square~Tic Tac Toe~Three In A Row! And this is what I made!

I started with the Tall Box image from the CTMH Artisite cart. This box is make with a separate top, bottom and sides so it was easy to alter the image in CCR. I used another image from Accent 3 to place on the sides of the box to create the window. I then use Craft Room Basics for a 1 1/2 inch circle and cut 4 for the wheels. I cut 4 flowers from Plantin Schoolbook and smaller circles from Craft Room Basics for the centers.

Then, score and assemble the box pieces. Add the centers to the flowers and the flowers to the wheels. Attach the wheels to the bottom box and add a bow to the top.

Your box will look like this:

Loosely fill a clear bag with popcorn and secure with a twist tie.

Carefully smush the bag of popcorn into the box and you have a cute little popcorn cart treat box!

Now for the prize. . .it's a $20 Gift Card to your choice of Joann's, Michael's or Hobby Lobby! And, you can get lots of chances to win! For one chance, follow my blog and leave a comment on this post. For two more chances to win, complete a Tic Tac Toe Challenge project of your own by Sunday, May 12 at 8 pm and come back to this post and add a comment about your project with a link {the link can be to your blog, a message board, your FB page or wherever you can post your project photo}.
