Believe In The Magic
I made this wall hanging using the Cricut cart Out of Character, Craft Room Basics image set and Cricut Craft Room.. It's such a fun and funky cart! There are 4 different fonts and none of the letters match! It was fun finding the right combination of letters to create this project.
But, you may notice that your Out of Character doesn't have the same letters as mine. Why? Because I used CCR to weld some of the letters together to "create" a new letter or took some of the letters and flipped them to create the look I wanted.
Here's the breakdown:
B. . .font 3 plus the "L" is flipped, smushed and welded to the "B"
e. . .font 4
l. . .font 4 with a parenthesis welded to make it thicker
i. . . .font 4 with the flower dot hidden and a regular dot used
e. . . font 2
v. . .font 2 with the inner cut hidden
e. . .font 4
i. . .it's actually the exclamation point from font 1, flipped
n. . .it's the "u" from font 4, flipped
t. . .font 2
h. . .it's the "y" from font 3, flipped
e. . .font 3
M. . .font 3
a. . .font 3
g. . .font 3
i. . .another exclamation point, this one from font 2, flipped
c. . .font 1
I cut the scallop rectangle and circle from Craft Room Basics, The Santa image is from a clipart CD. I used an old necklace to hang the the scalloped rectangle and to dangle the scallop circle. The little bit of sparkle you see is from Mod Podge Dimensional Magic that I used to cover little white star shapes that were part of the paper design.
What Cricut images have you used differently from the way they were designed?

Hippie Girl Paper Doll
A while back, I made this Hippie Girl for a card for a 70's themed party. This is a photo of the "test" doll I made and a screenshot from CCR. I used Teen Scene and Groovy Times Cricut carts. In CCR, I was able to size the dress from Groovy Times to fit the doll body from Teen Scene. The go-go boots are a pair of tights and a shoe, from Teen Scene, welded together. I hand cut the tights at the knee to make boots.
Someone asked for the .ccr file, so here it is:

Christmas Treat Cone!
All the Christmas in July events made me want to craft something Christmasy! So here is a little treat cone filled with M&Ms! I used the 3D Party Cones digital images and cut the cone from the plastic clamshell from a Cricut cart. I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder to emboss the cut image and then used Terrifically TackyTape to assemble the cone. I made the tag by printing the sentiment on my computer and cutting it with my Cricut using Mini Monograms along with the red and white layers.
I think I'll make more {I have tons of the plastic!} around Christmas time and put the M&Ms or maybe peppermints in a little bag and place that in the cone. So, what do you use the plastic clamshells from all your Cricut carts for?

Shabby Chic Box
Welcome to the Enjoy the Moments Blog Hop featuring products from Megan Elizabeth! You should have arrived here from Cheri's blog. But if you didn't and want to start at the beginning of the hop, go to Shawn's blog. Megan Elizabeth {you know her as MeganAboveRubiesStudio on the MB} is announcing some new products today and her blog is the last one on the hop.
For my project, I created a box {big surprise, right?} perfect for holding special little mementos! I had seen a box, created using a metal die, in the gallery on SplitCoastStampers and knew I wanted to create it with my Cricut. I used shapes from the free Cricut Craft Room Basics and George and Basic Shapes carts to create the top and bottom as one continuous piece. Then I created the bottom for the box walls. The walls of the box were 1 1/2 inch strips of paper.
Once assembled, the fun of decorating began. I used the same file I had created for the top/bottom piece to create a couple of layers in a solid cardstock and the beautiful Teresa Collins print. I used the Flower Shoppe and Cindy Loo carts to create a flower and flourishes. I added white fabric flower trim to the top and the outside of the box. The box "looked" OK, but needed a little something else to make it special. That's when I added just 6 little gems from Megan Elizabeth's Sparkle Lighz collection, putting 3 in the top left corner and 3 in the bottom right. That was just the special touch this project needed!
{The inside~ignore the silver Hershey kiss that my photographer used to prop the box open! }
Your next stop on the hop, as you make your way to Megan's blog to check out her new products, is Court. Thanks for stopping by and remember to Enjoy the Moments!

Patriotic Treat Cones
Happy Fourth of July! For our celebration, I used the Cricut 3D Party Cones digital images to make these red, white and blue treat cones! It was so easy. All I had to do was decide what colors, cut and glue. And then, fill them with some yummy red and silver Hershey Kisses!
And here's some good news for you. . .Provo Craft is giving everyone with a Cricut Craft Room account access to this image set for the next week! So, you can make your own set of Patriotic Treat Cones or a set in any other theme that you want! All you have to do is log into your CCR account and the images are there. Don't wait. . .they aren't free forever! Give them a try. . .I'm sure you'll love using this image set!
Here's another set I made for Easter this past year using the 3D Party Cones and Animal Kingdom.
What type of treat cones do you think you'll make? Be sure to check out the challenge using this free file:
