Shabby Chic Box

Welcome to the Enjoy the Moments Blog Hop featuring products from Megan Elizabeth! You should have arrived here from Cheri's blog. But if you didn't and want to start at the beginning of the hop, go to Shawn's blog. Megan Elizabeth {you know her as MeganAboveRubiesStudio on the MB} is announcing some new products today and her blog is the last one on the hop.

For my project, I created a box {big surprise, right?} perfect for holding special little mementos! I had seen a box, created using a metal die, in the gallery on SplitCoastStampers and knew I wanted to create it with my Cricut. I used shapes from the free Cricut Craft Room Basics and George and Basic Shapes carts to create the top and bottom as one continuous piece. Then I created the bottom for the box walls. The walls of the box were 1 1/2 inch strips of paper.

Once assembled, the fun of decorating began. I used the same file I had created for the top/bottom piece to create a couple of layers in a solid cardstock and the beautiful Teresa Collins print. I used the Flower Shoppe and Cindy Loo carts to create a flower and flourishes. I added white fabric flower trim to the top and the outside of the box. The box "looked" OK, but needed a little something else to make it special. That's when I added just 6 little gems from Megan Elizabeth's Sparkle Lighz collection, putting 3 in the top left corner and 3 in the bottom right. That was just the special touch this project needed!

{The inside~ignore the silver Hershey kiss that my photographer used to prop the box open! }

Your next stop on the hop, as you make your way to Megan's blog to check out her new products, is Court. Thanks for stopping by and remember to Enjoy the Moments!
